About the Opportunity

Ritestart Limited currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic Construction Project Manager to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will see you working on different sites throughout the GTA, with our offices located in Burlington, ON.

As our new Construction Project Manager, you will report to the President while developing and maintaining relationships with superintendents, suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and consultants. Your versatility and productivity will be an asset to the company as you manage our projects from start to finish.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and negotiating subcontracts, contracts, and contract revisions
  • Reviewing Project Logs via Procore and preparing monthly project and Work in Progress reports
  • Identifying, mitigating, and managing risk areas of the project, involving management immediately on potential loss items
  • Reviewing all close-out documents, including as-builts, manuals, warranties, and other maintenance information prepared by others
  • Preparing original budgets, pricing and process changes, and internal accounting revisions
  • Preparing and/or reviewing phasing and sequencing plans
  • Overseeing the preparation, collection, distribution, and maintenance of project start-up documentation for the company and the trade contractors
  • Understanding and preparing preliminary, interim, and baseline schedules for distribution to all parties
  • Problem-solving technical issues with structural, architectural, building science, mechanical and electrical, and other disciplines to provide a complete project
  • Maintaining and promoting project completion schedule, identifying bottlenecks and long lead items while planning appropriately to work around these issues
  • Utilizing and understanding various CCDC2 and CCDC5B prime contracts, and CCA1 subcontracts

More About You 

In order to qualify for this role, you will need at least 5 years of experience in a similar project management role (preferably in the 1-8mil range), along with a related degree or diploma. This experience in combination with proficiency in Microsoft Office products, such as MS Project, along with working knowledge of Bluebeam and Procore would be strong assets. A combination of education and experience will also be considered. A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are required.

As our ideal candidate, you'll take ownership and responsibility to safely manage each project in a prompt and efficient manner by demonstrating excellent leadership ability, communication, and interpersonal skills. You have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. You have experience building relationships and managing the expectations of all stakeholders, with strong attention to detail and the ability to make timely and rational decisions under pressure.
